Physical abuse beats you up and beats you down. Not just with cuts, bruises, blackeyes, busted lips, or the pictures in your mind of being stomped and choked. It effects what you see on a daily basis and in the long term. And its effects are different to different people.
Are you timid or did you take on the attributes of your abuser?
Does it make you fail to stand up for yourself by not arguing or debating your view, well, because the person who stands before you may become violent so that you 'lose' the point that works for you.
Or do you argue your point to take 'control' of everyone else although someone's view was greater than yours.
What did you learn?
