ORDER IN THE COURT

We do not tell. For whatever reason, we just don’t. Whatever the abuse or socioeconomic status. You are a little kid and afforded every comfort in life and one of the things you love to do is spend time in the family’s massive garage admiring Bentleys, Astins, and even the Cooper. The (fe)male mechanic slowly and methodically grooms then increasingly molests the child. All the while reinforcing the message to the child that they must not tell.
It’s bad enough that it’s done by outsiders, but we are also molested within the family. I honestly think one explanation is that it’s an innate trait, a natural thing not to go against and stay bonded with family. Now add fear to that, if you tell, I’m going to have to do XY or Z. Or the child just doesn’t have the capacity to say or want to say things they experienced. Shame. That’s a terrible liability for a child in a courtroom.

That’s when we hear, a rapist did a very short amount of time for a very horrific crime. When the physical part of the act heals the rape is still not done. And know, when a baby girl is raped, those tiny ovaries and fallopian tubes are damaged beyond repair.
One of the unspoken things we hear from the judicial system and society in general is we were going to grow up and ‘do it’ anyway. However, our willingness does not come with mental illness.

Although these rapists pay a paltry sentence for the physical act what’s not included in the sentence is the mental anguish, the behavioral disorders that comes with rape.

Neglect. Physical Abuse. Sexual Abuse. Emotional Abuse
These things net mental illness. This does not mean you are crazy or unable to take care of yourself. But we may fall under things such as:

Generalized Anxiety – We may worry a lot and are always anxious about something; that isn’t good for the heart.

Social Anxiety – negative evaluations from others. Can that be based on, “Do you know my secret?”

PTSD – difficulty recovering after experiencing this terrifying act. It’s rather like seeing your leg get blown off in a war. Yeah, you do alright with the prosthetic, but you never forget and you sometimes even relive the actual occasion.

Depression (normal and clinical)

Panic Attacks

Eating Disorders

Substance Use Disorders

And anyone can experience any one of these as well as a vast array of one of the many other disorders.

Furthermore, the trauma and stress we endure is stored in the body’s Nervous System, Brain, Muscles, Organs, and Connective Tissue. When you see that bomb go off you enter petrified forest, a somewhat petrified state until your healing begin to relieve you.
